Meshulam Bassan et la descendance (French and English)

Meshulam Bassan est mon arrière-arrière grand-père.

 

Il est né à Yambol, une ville frontalière de la Bulgarie, proche de la Turquie, entre 1860 et 1880.
Il a probablement migré en Turquie suite à son mariage avec Sultana Ovadya où il a vécu à Andrinople/Edirne.

 

Meshulam et Sultana ont eu six enfants :
-Sabato 1898-1944
-Joseph (Pepo) 1902-1942
-Ida 1906-?
-Clara
-Victorya
-Berta.

 

Sabato et Pepo sont partis à Paris dans les années 1920 pour étudier à la Sorbonne.
Après leur départ de la Turquie, ils sont restés vivre en France.

Victoria s'est mariée avec Morduhai Marco Ovadya en Turquie où elle est restée vivre avec sa famille.

Ida a épousé Joseph Conorte Bassan, lui aussi originaire de Bulgarie. ils ont immigré en Israël.
Il était père d'un enfant issu d'un premier mariage : Robert Bassan.

Ida et Conorte ont eu deux enfants : Giselle et Misho.

Quant à Clara et Berta, elles ont aussi immigré en Israël, le contact a été perdu avec les années.

Meshulam Bassan was my great-great-grand-father.

 

He was born in Yambol, a Bulgarian town close to the Turkish frontier, circa 1860-1880.

 

He probably immigrated to Turkey after his wedding with Sultana Ovadya. They lived in Andrinople/Edirne.

 

Meshulam and Sultana had six children:

- Sabato 1898-1944

- Joseph (Pepo) 1902-1942

- Ida 1906-?

- Clara

- Victorya

- Berta

 

Sabato and Pepo left for Paris in the 1920's to study at the Sorbonne.

After they left Turkey, they definitely stayed in France to live.

 

Victorya was married to Morduhay marco Ovadya in Turquie where she stayed to live with her family.

 

Ida married Joseph Conorte Bassan, who also was from Bulgaria. they immigrated to Israel.

Conorte was the father of a son from a previous marriage: Robert Bassan.

Ida and Conorte had two more children together: Giselle and Misho.

 

When it comes to Berta and Clara, they also immigrated to Israel but the contact with them was lost over the years.
